Dili, March 15, 2021 (TATOLI) – The Crisis Management Center (CIGC) has registered seven more active cases of covid-19, five from Dili and two in the municipality of Viqueque. Bringing the total to 99..
The CIGC also announced five recoveries. Since the new outbreak begun, while total country’s cases is 203 with 104 recovered cases.
The CIGC Coordinator Rui de Araujo, said that the National laboratory collected 158 samples from Viqueque, recording two positive results.
“An infected person from Umane Iku area, Ossu decima, Viqueque and other patients live in the Lari area, from the Afaloicai village, at the Uatolari sub district and at the Autolari sub district,” said Araujo said.
The two infected people traveled from Dili to Viqueque, between march 8 and 12 with the authorization of the CICG to participate in a funeral ceremony . The joint health team is currently looking for contacts of the two positive cases.
Another five cases in Dili were identified through the random screening, one was detected in the in the quarantine area of Carla Mansions, one comes from Aldeia Hura, Suco de Motael and is linked with one of the infected people of the 04 septembero village . Another positive case was detected in Madohi area.
The positive case identified in fomentu III, of the comoro village – linked to the a case of the village 05 of Outubru. The sample was taken form neighborhood in Bairo Pite.
Prior to the new outbreak, the country’s recorded cases was 106 with 99 recovered cases, with the recent outbreak in Dili, the number of infection has soared to 99 active cases with 5 recoveries within a week prompting lockdown and government warnings that includes orders to deport anyone who breaches health regulations.
