President Lú Olo receives Credentials from new Envoys of U.S and Brazil

DILI, 19 march 2021 (TATOLI- The President of Republic, Francisco Guterres Lú received the credential letters from the Ambassador designated by the United States of America, Charles Kevin Black Stone and the Ambassador designated by the Brazil, Mauricio Medeiros de Assis,  at separate ceremonies at the Presidential Palace.

“The new Envoys accredited to Timor-Leste, from the United State and Brazil have today presented their letters of credence to President Lú Olo at separate ceremonies,” Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MNEC), Adalzija Mago told the journalists at the presidential palace.  

Ms Magno said, the two evoys also conveyed to the President greetings from President of U.S, Joe Biden and the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro.

“During the meeting the Ambassadors also pledged to strengthen relations between their countries and Timor-Leste in various areas to further consolidate the brotherly relations between the two nations,” Ms Magno said.

She said areas of cooperation between the Brazil and Timor-Leste, Brazil mostly supports Timor-Leste in Judicial area also established a cooperation in the Defense area, particularly provide the supports to the Falintil Forsa Defeza Timor-Leste (F-FDTL).

U.S had supported Timor-Leste with the financial and the medical equipment to the National Hospitals last year.
