DILI, 20 march 2020 (TATOLI)-Ermera Health Workers have recorded 33 cases of Dengue Fever while ten patients have been transferred to the National Hospital Guido Valadares (HNGV) since the current outbreak began in january as the latest outbreak in Ermera district.
“Since january to march 2021, Ermera Health Authority records 33 cases of dengue, mostly are children, ten of them have been transferred to the National Hospital because they have been experiencing serious symptoms,” Ermera Health Authority, Antonia de Jesus Fatima told Tatoli via phone.
Following the informationf rom the HNGV, Ms Fatima said, the ten patients have surpassed their hard condition and under the process of recovery.
with regards to the number of dengue cases, Ermera Health Authority continue to work with fumigation [at] the affected places including 700 households and also [run] public awareness about dengue cases, encouraging residents clean up around their homes to prevent mosquito breeding grounds.
