DILI, 29 march, 2021 (TATOLI) – Timor-Leste today confirmed 21 new cases of COVID-19, and one recovery bringing the total number of infections in the country to 342 so far, said a Ministry of Health (MoH) statement.
The new infections included 13 men and eight women. Of the number five have present with the symptoms while the rest are asymptomatic.
The Coordinator of the CIGC, Rui de Araújo, said with the new cases confirmed, Dili records 45 outbreaks of the infections from the virus.
According to Araújo, since yesterday, 565 laboratory tests have been carried out, 241 following requests for authorization to leave Dili Municipality.
“There were 43 requests have submitted. The CIGC secretariat immediately responded to everyone, but seven requests did not meet the requirement underlined in the Government resolution,” he said.
With regards to the spread of the virus, Baucau registered until today 26 active cases of covid-19, Covalima 19, Viqueque ten, Lautém one and in the Special Administrative Region of Oé-Cusse and Ambeno (RAEOA) one.
The CIGC calls on the entire population not to fear neighbors who have been recovered from the infection, for the reason that, the Health Authority has certified that there is no contagion.
