DILI, 12 may 2021 (TATOLI)— The Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fidélis Magalhães, said on Wednesday that the Government continues to maintain the sanitary fence in The three municipalities, Dili, Baucau, and Covalima for another 14 days.
The decision was made after the Coordinator of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CIGC) introduced the real epidemiological situation in the country to the Council of Minister during the meeting today (10/05/021)
“Concerning this decision from the CM, the Government continues to limit the citizens from traveling to other municipalities, except for public health reasons, security and humanitarian reasons which are considered necessary for the common interest and authorized by the Minister of the Interior,” Magalhães said.
The Government has extended the isolation zones restricting entry and exit for Dili, Baucau, and Covalima until may 16, at 23:59, with the new amended resolution Government decided to extend the isolation zones for another 14 days.
Mr. Magalhães said, Government also decided that home confinement will apply in Dili for all citizens residing in Dili, except, except for public health reasons, security and humanitarian reasons which are considered necessary for the common interest and authorized by the Minister of the Interior.
However, the imposition of isolation zone restricting in Ainaro, Ermera, Lautem, Liquica, Manufahi, and Viqueque will remain until 16 of May.
