DILI, 21 may 2021 (TATOLI)— The U.S Navy Seabees has completed a new Health clinic in KAADABUNAK, located in Kamea, Dili municipality.

The United States Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Charles Kevin Blackstone, appreciates the local Timorese builders for the design support and skills provided for established the project. 

 “I am very proud of the work that has been done through the partnerships between the US and the Timor-Leste,’ Ambassador Blackstone said in a statement released today. 

Ambassador Blackstone added that The US Navy Seabees is very familiar in this country, through their quality of work in constructing the schools and the health clinic within 10 years. 

“We are proud to combine the expertise of the U.S Navy with the proven experience of local partner companies to benefit over 5.000 residents across five villages. These local workers are professional by giving their loves and soul to work for ten years even in the time of covid-19, to ensure the health clinic is completed,’ he said. 

The construction of the Health Clinic including, room for pharmacy, a room for maternity, room for common treatment, laboratory, as well as other installations. 

The clinic was constructed with more than $152, 000 in funding and design by the U.S Navy Pacific Partnerships Exercise to benefit over 5.000 residents across five villages.

The Ceremony was attended by the Minister of Health Timor-Leste, Odete Maria Freitas Belo, The President of Dili Municipality, Gaspar Soares, and the Head of Camea Village, Matos da Costa, and other relevant entities.
