DILI, may 28, 2021 (TATOLI) – Health authorities today registered 163 more cases of the new coronavirus and 198 recoveries.
Of the new infections recorded today- 116 in Dili, Ainaro has six, Baucau 12, Bobonaro 15, Lautém 12, and Covalima and Manufahi each 47 in other municipalities. The proportion of symptoms is 4.9%.
The country currently has 2,692 active infections, 6,622 confirmed cases, 15 deaths, and 3,915 recoveries since the outbreak began.
The Coordinator of the CIGC, 37 patients are under the treatment at Vera Cruz Isolation Center – 15 in the area of obstetrics, all considered mild cases, 19 in internal medicine, of the number, five are in the serious conditions – two in intensive care and dependent on continuous positive airway pressure mask (CPAP) and three use oxygen, six moderate and eight light. There are also two cases in pediatrics, one considered mild and the other moderate. One case is in neonatology, a baby born by normal delivery, to a woman with covid-19.
The National Health Laboratory has performed 962 laboratory tests since yesterday, 16 of which in the context of sentinel surveillance, 114 of contact screening, 422 of random screening, 382 requests for departure from the Municipality of Dili, nine for international trips, and 19 in quarantines. In addition, on May 27, 730 tests were carried out in the municipalities.
Regarding the evolution of the outbreak in the country, an incidence rate of covid-19 is, on average, in the last week, of 14.4 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, while in Dili it is 46.2, in Baucau of 4, 0, in Bobonaro of 11.2 and Covalima of 3.9.
