DILI, 29 june 2021 (TATOLI)-The 17 Timorese students who have studied at several universities in the Philippines have arrived in Dili, today.
Those 17 students are including more than 200 people who have studied in Philipine but the Philippines Embassy in Timor-Leste in coordination with the Timor-Leste Embassy in the Philippines just sent home 17 people only because for the reason that many Timorese students in the Philippines have not completed their studies.
Vice Consul & Third Secretary Atty. Laser Blitz B. Sumagaysay said previously 17 East Timorese students were allowed to go home because they had been swab and vaccinated at the Philippine Ministry of Health and they tested negative for Covid-19.
“I hope the repatriated students will be able to reunite with their families in Timor-Leste because they arrived safely even though the risk of Covid-19 in the Philippines is very high compared to Timor-Leste,” said Sumagaysay in Airport International Nicolau Lobato Comoro to Journalist TATOLI News Agency on tuesday.
In this opportunity I would like to thank the big help of Director General Jose Antonio Amorim Diaz of MOFAC protocol and Consular because of his effort the Cebu Pasific Airlines can fly from the Philippines to Timor-Leste.
