DILI, 06 july 2021 (TATOLI)- The Australia Volunteer International (AVI) has donated USD 9.999 to Timor-Leste Disabled Eyes Association (AHDMTL) last may, revealed Director of AHDMTL, Gaspar Afonso.
“AVI provided donors to AHMDTL based on a proposal submitted by AHDMTL and the proposal was approved by AVI and has provided and $9.999 to develop the AHDMTL ‘s cultural program,” said Afonso in AHDMTL office Manleuana to Journalist TATOLI News Agency on tuesday.
He explained that the collaboration between AVI and AHDMTL supported by the Timor Furak Association will develop traditional dance exercises and traditional music for the next six months from june – december 2021.
This Traditional Culture was attended by 30 members with eyes disabilities and this training was taking place for six months at AHDMTL.
“This program is on the theme Close Your Eyes, Open Your Heart! which means don’t underestimate the disabled because they also have the same creativity as non-disabled people,” said Afonso.
