DILI, 06 june 2021 (TATOLI)- The Australian Government grants Timor-Leste Disabilities Association (ADTL) USD 180.000 annually.

The Executive Director of the ADTL, Cesario da Silva said the Australian Government through Australian Embassy together with Partnership for Human Development (PHD) has provided donors since 2003-2021 to implement the program.

“ADTL has three main programs that have been carried out so far, such as Advocacy, Education and Capacity Empowerment and training for ADTL members,” said in ADTL office Mascarinhas, Dili to Journalist TATOLI News Agency on tuesday.

He added that through this program, many ADTL members from various types of disabilities have benefitted from capacity building, especially in the education and other aspects.

“The funding from the Australian Government through Australian Embassy to Timor-Leste together with PHD has benefitted many disabled members from ADTL, but I am not sure the data is accurate, because ADTL is still in the data verification stage,” He said.

ADTL hopes that the Australian Government through Australian Embassy in Timor-Leste together with PHD will continue this donation.

“On this occasion, on behalf of ADTL, I express my deepest gratitude to the Australian government through Australian Embassy and PHD for being willing to donate to ADTL during this time”.
