DILI, 07 july 2021 (TATOLI)-Director of the Timor-Leste Disability Association (ADTL), Cezario da Silva said the new office including the Center for Social Education to people with disabilities was built by the Embassy of Japan to Timor-Leste since 2019.
This construction was built for one year starting in 2019 and the construction project for the Center on Social Education for people with disabilities was inaugurated in january 2020 by the First Lady, Cidalia Nobre Lopes Mouzinho Guterres and the representative of Japanese Embassy to Timor-Leste Shinga Higashimoto.
“Funds from this project came from the Japanese people to the people of Timor Leste through the Japanese Embassy to Timor-Leste and were transferred to ADTL in building ADTL offices including Education Center for people with disabilities in Timor Leste,” said Silva in Maskarinhas to Journalist of TATOLI News Agency on wednesday.
He explained that the amount of budget allocated for this project is uncertain because everything was carried out by the Japanese Embassy in Timor-Leste and after it ADTL just used it.
Because of that, the big family from ADTL would like to express their deepest gratitude to the Japanese people who have donated funds through the Japanese Embassy to Timor-Leste.
“This Social Education Center for the people with disabilities has been used for more than one year and many people with disabilities in Timor-Leste have used this place for ADTL’s interest,” said Silva.
