DILI, 14 july 2021 (TATOLI)- Director of the Association of Disabilities of Timor-Leste (ADTL), Cezario da Silva said that, recently the United States Development Program (USAID) together with ADTL had signed a cooperation agreement in developing advocacy and capacity building training for ADTL members, over the next five years.
“USAID and ADTL already signed a joint agreement a few months ago to conduct an advocacy and capacity building training program in the near future,” said Silva in ADTL’s office Mascarenhas to Journalist of TATOLI News Agency on wednesday.
Silva explained that this program has not yet started because USAID and ADTL are still in the process of developing the grant to determine how much funds will be allocated to this program.
This program will be run for the next five years with the aim of developing skills for people with disabilities, especially in the aspect of advocacy and capacity building to advance ADTL members to participate in the national development of Timor-Leste in general.
This advocacy and capacity building training program is expected to benefit more than 1.000 people from ADTL members in Timor-Leste.
“This program will also be implemented in the near future after the completion of the grant development phase,” said Silva.
