DILI, 31 july 2021 (TATOLI) – Chairman of the National Election Commission (CNE) Alcino de Araujo Barris requests all the media’s journalists to control the material and the process of the electoral system for the 2022 Presidential election with the 2023 parliamentary general election.
“I requested to the media to control the entire material process and the electoral system, starting with the RDTL constitution and all rules including all regulations,” Barris made a comment when participating the commemoration of the 5th Aniversary of Tatoli at Farol Dili.
Barris added that when journalists dominated all the materials for the elections, it will be very easy to disseminate information that is credible and correct to the voters and it will help increase their participation in the presidential election in 2022 and the parliamentary election in 2023.
Since CNE has supervised the election and has collaborated with all media in Timor-Leste including TATOLI IP to convey the information about the general election process Barris hopes that TATOLI.IP as the State News Agency will disseminate correct information as a manifestation of the success of the general election, especially the presidential election in 2022.
