DILI, 31 july 2021 (TATOLI)– The Consul and Third Secretary of Philippines Embassy Atty. Laser Blitz. B. Sumagaysay said The Embassy of the Philippines will conduct the ASEAN Community Pantry to distribute the food items to the Timorese community.
According to Mr. Sumagaysay, they will also welcome the 64th of ASEAN Celebration thus The Embassy will invite other countries including Brunei, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia to contribute the items to be distributed during the pantry event.
“The objective of inviting these countries’ representatives is to contribute some items to distribute to Timorese people in line with the celebration of the 64th Anniversary of ASEAN,” Sumagaysay told Tatoli at the Philippines Embassy Dili, Today.
Sumagaysay said August is the month to be celebrated the Anniversary of ASEAN thus this is also to promote good relationships between Timorese Community and the ASEAN.
“On August 6, 6 PM Philippines Embassy will have a Mural unveiling and cocktails at the Philippine Embassy, The Mural is a cultural artwork depicting the Philippines and also highlighted ASEAN and Timor-Leste,” he said.
The event will be attended by The Former President of Timor-Leste and the Noble Peace Price, Dr. Jose Ramos Horta, the Each representative from ASEAN countries in Dili and Timor-Leste Director-General for ASEAN from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MNEC),
