TAF and CCI-TL establish  a Website to provide information to the private sector

DILI, 05 august 2021 (TATOLI) – The Asia Foundation (TAF) collaborates with the CCI-TL (Timor-Leste Chamber of Commerce and Industry) established a website: www.Impreza.tl to provides information about business in TL.

This collaboration was formalized by signing a partnership agreement between the Country Representative for TAF, Dylan Davis, and the President of CCI-TL, Oscar Lima at the CCI-TL Acait office, Dili, this Wednesday.

The representative of TAF in Timor-Leste, Dylan Davis said the TAF is committed to cooperating with the CCI-TL to share the information with all the private sectors by establishing the new website.

“This is a brilliant opportunity for the two organizations to work together to disseminate up-to-date information to the private sectors, through a joint new website.www.empreza.tl,”.Dylan Davis said.

“The websites also can attribute the information disseminating for the business team in the industry. The tools are required and needed to endure challenges during on pandemic period and even for new challenges will be faced in coming years,” he added.

Dylan outline the TAF’s commitment to continue providing support to the private sector that operates in the tourism sector in Timor-Leste’s.

Mr. Dylan said that the Asia Foundation Tourism Development Program has been a partnership for 5 years.

The creation and ongoing maintenance of the new website www.empreza.tl is supported by the TAF Tourism Development Programme, funded by New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The main goal is increasing economic and employment opportunities for women and men through the tourism sector in Timor-Leste.

President of CCI-TL, Oscar Lima thanked the TAF for providing CCI-TL for helping the CCI-TL providing information to the private sector through the website.

“It is most important cooperation between both sides, especially for the digitization system. CCI-TL is a source sharing business information for the public and private sectors, the benefit of this web-side program will refer to CCITL” said Oscar Lima.

TAF also provided a survey book from 2020 about MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) in TL.

It is recalled that TAF has offered the MSME Survey book to CCI-TL last 2020.

The cooperation between CCI-TL and TAF should be in longstanding commitment to contribute to economic development in the future.
