BAUCAU, august 6, 2021 (TATOLI)- The Thailand Ambassador in Timor-Leste, Ekapol Poolpipat rewarded Maha Chakri’s present for a Timorese teacher Vicente Da Silva Marcal, the Director of Basic Central School no 1 in Baucau.
the PMCA seeks to recognize teachers from 11 countries in Southeast Asia who have made an impact on their students’ lives, particularly those in disadvantaged groups.
The Vice Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, Antonio Guterres said that this is the first present offered by Thailand Embassy for Mr. Vicente Da Silva Marcal due to his outstanding achienvement in basic education and social work.
This is the first time this year the Princess of Thailand rewards a present for a Timorese teacher, this present encourages and inspires more than 14.000 teachers across Timor-Leste to keep their hard work.
The director of Basic Central School No.1 Baucau, Vicente da Silva Marcal, honors the PCMA for the award given to him.
“This is my first time become repecient of Maha Chakris award for 2021 season in Timor-Leste,” School Director Vicente Da Silva Marcal told Tatoli reporter at Trilolo Baucau.
Mr. Marcal added that the money will be using for the school and student benefits.
“I will get a new hand tractor to invest on-farm and provide for to support school feeding program. This initiative I made to help children can access the nutritive meals,” he said
The Embassy of Thailand will reward a medal and cash in the amount of $10.000. The handover ceremony will be held on September 29, this year.
In the same place Thailand Ambassador in Timor-Leste, Ekapol Poolpipat said that Thailand is standing in commitment to corporate with the government of Timor-Leste through Education Ministry.
He added that the aim of this visit was to directly observed the ongoing activities in the Basic Central School Baucau No. 1, including the performance of Primary School director, Vicente da Silva Marcal.
