DILI, 18 august 2021 (TATOLI)– The New Ambassador of Timor Leste to Malaysia Joana Veneranda Amaral today met with Minister of Health (MS), Odete Maria Freitas Belo to discuss the cooperation in the health sector before carrying out her diplomatic mission in Malaysia.
“We discussed the cooperation regarding the health sector that had previously been carried out by the government of Timor Leste, especially the treatment of cardiology and other diseases program,” Amaral told the journalist at the Ministry of Health office yesterday.
In addition, we also discussed the continuation of Timorese scholarships to continue their studies in the field of Health in Malaysia.
The Minister of Health, Odete Maria Freitas Belo, said that the meeting was a sharing of ideas before the New Ambassador conducts her mission in Malaysia.
“I explained to her regarding the cooperation between Malaysia and Timor-Leste in dealing with Cardiology treatment, therefore She wishes to know about this cooperation before performing her duty in Malaysia to continue the cooperation in the health sector,” She said.
