DILI, 8 august, 2021 (TATOLI)- The Autonomous Service for medicines and health equipment (SAMES) distributed 120 to180 oxygen cylinders to the Lahane and Vera Cruz isolations Centers, every day to deal with the covid-19 disease.
“We have distributed 60 cylinders of oxygen in last June and July, however, SAMES adds the number of the oxygen to be distributed to Vera Cruz and Lahane due to increase in the number of covid patients in both isolations centers,” The director of SAMES, Santana Martins told Tatoli at his office in, Kampung Alor, this Tuesday.
“Since then, the supplier’s companies are available with the product and can be distributed when needed. The stock is provided to the isolation center sufficient and available. the only problem faced by SAMES is recollecting the empty cylinders from municipalities to refilled the oxygen,” he said
Mr. Martims added it is required two to four hours to refill the oxygen.
Thus, SAMES is managing on distributing the oxygen cylinders, and even to find another alternative to ensure the cylinders are not empty to respond to emergency needs at Dili Isolation Centers and even in other municipalities.
