DILI, 22 september 2021 ( TATOLI)– The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Timor- Leste Sahat Sitorus said the Republic of Indonesia will become the host of the conference of Inter Parliamentarian Union ( IPU).
The Chairman of the National Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia Puan Maharani had invited Timor-Leste National Parliament to join the conference in Bali Indonesia.
” I wish to update this information to the President of National Parliament of Timor – Leste, Aniceto Guterres about the IPU conference that will be held in Bali Indonesia on 20-24 march 2022, the Chairman of the NPRI, Puan Maharani wish the Timorese PPN Aniceto Guterres and his members will join the conference,” Ambassador Sahat Sitorus told reporters after the meeting with PPN at the National Parliament in Dili on wednesday.
Ambassador Sitorus added that the IPU conference is important saying the participants will discuss the political aspects and the other relevant aspects including the COVID -19 pandemic which had been given a negative impact on the economy in the world.
IPU conference will strengthen the diplomatic bilateral especially every National Parliament to share the ideas and to expand the fraternity around the world.
