DILI, 23 september, 2021 (TATOLI)—The United Nations (UN) considers the private sector to have an important role in the world to ensure access to vaccines and tackling the climate crisis.
The statement was highlighted by the UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the 6th annual Sustainable Development Business Forum goal, held on the 22nd, last Wednesday which posted in the UN official site.
“I would like to thank the world’s corporate leaders and Governments for joining us to focus on the much-needed challenges and solutions for resilient supplies, a fair energy transition, and financing for the 2030 Agenda [for Sustainability],” said UN SecGEn Guterres.
Guterres emphasized the three areas of action where the private sector has an important role to play, as the world continues to face the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, and the number of related global tests by saying, First, all must ensure universal access to COVID-19 vaccines, tests, and therapies. Second, all must work together for a resilient and inclusive society based on people-centered policies, this includes support for micro, small and medium enterprises, and Third, all must act now to tackle the climate crisis and turn to sustainable energy around the world.
