DILI, 05 october 2021 ( TATOLI)– Manager of Fitun Matebian Group said, to ensure the quality of agriculture products, Government needs to create the National Control Laboratory for food.
He added Fitun Matebian Group had produced many Virgin coconut oils with the purpose to distribute and sell in the international market however the group does not have the certificate of organic agriculture product.
“Our group had produced virgin coconut oil and have exchanged in the local market however our purpose to expand the product abroad was not realized due to we don’t have organic certification product,” Perreira told reporters in Licidere today.
Perreira ask the government to establish national control laboratory for food to control food quality products before exporting at the same time to ensure the safety of imported foods to Timor-Leste.
Perreira said, the group often gets the coconut from Lospalos and Baucau Municipalities for the manufacturing of Virgin Coconut oil before the product sales to the market.
“We recommend the Government to repair the local road to facilitate our movement to municipalities and doing our business to help the economy of our family,” he said.
