DILI, 25 october 2021 (TATOLI) – In the past 24 hours, Timor-Leste recorded four new COVID-19 cases, 15 recoveries, and the active cases dropped to 52, said Rui Maria de Araujo Coordinator of the Integrated Crisis Management Center (SIJK).
According to today’s figure, three new cases were detected in capital Dili, and one was identfied in RAEOA.
Of the four new cases, two are fully vaccinated, while one had received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. These new cases are made up of one man and three women.
Araujo said all of the newly detected cases were between the ages of 12 and 59, adding 50 percent were symptomatic.
There are five people with COVID-19 in hospitals, one of those is in critical condition and requires ventilation.
In the past 24 hours, the National Health Laboratory (LNS) has performed 41 PCR tests, including seven via random screening, and 28 in quarantines.
The SIJK kept calling on communities to practice the health and safety guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the WHO to continue combating the spread of the virus.
Since Timor-Leste’s outbreak began in april 2020, the country has recorded 19.774 cases, 18.601 recoveries, 121 deaths.
In Timor-Leste, of the 754.864 eligible groups, 70.9 percent had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, of which 46 percent have been fully vaccinated.
