COVALIMA, 26 october 2021 (TATOLI) – The Country Manager of Timor Resource, Filomeno Andrade had informed that Timor Resource will hire up to 97 percent of Covalima’s people to work in the oil and gas drilling of wells in Covalima municipality.
“We will employ up to 97 percent of Covalima’s people to work in the process of oil and gas drilling in Covalima. We will also hire up to 98 percent of Manufahi’s people to work in the drilling of the wells in Manufahi municipality,” said Andrade.
He said the recruitment process would focus on three main factors: skilled, unskilled, and occasional workers.
“We are looking for workers with good skill in the area of petroleum; to perform the tasks accordingly. Because we want a good result and positive outcome,” said Andrade.
In addition, he said the recruitment would be depended on the program and budget.
He added Timor-Resource was not the solution for unemployment in Covalima, adding however the company was willing to hire the local people.
