DILI, 5 november 2021 (TATOLI) – In the past 24 hours, Timor-Leste recorded one new COVID-19 case, nine recoveries, and the active cases dropped to eight, said Rui Maria de Araujo, the Coordinator of the Integrated Crisis Management Center (SIJK).
According to today’s figure, the new case was detected in Dili.
There were three people with COVID-19 in hospital, one of those was in moderate condition and two were in mild condition.
In the past 24 hours, the National Health Laboratory (LNS) has performed 56 PCR tests, including two via sentinel surveillance, three through contact tracing, 29 via random screening, 19 for the international travel authorization, and three in quarantine.
The SIJK kept calling on communities to practice the health and safety guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the WHO to continue combating the spread of the virus.
Since Timor-Leste’s outbreak began in april 2020, the country has recorded 19.795 cases, 19.665 recoveries, and 122 deaths.
In Timor-Leste, 74.7 percent of the eligible group had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, of which 48.8 percent have been fully vaccinated.
