DÍLI, 09 de novembro de 2021 (TATOLI) – Twelve universities had submitted the report of the payment of Covid-19 relief funds for college students, said Inspector General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture (MoHESC), Higino Alves.
Alves said the inspection team carried out its work of monitoring and analyzing data, saying all universities had 90 days to carry out the payments and were given 15 days to submit their payment reports to the MoHESC.
“All universities are required to submit their reports by November 10. So far, only 12 higher education institutions have already submitted their reports, and our team is currently working and checking on their documents. So, I urge the other six universities to submit their reports as soon as possible”, Alves told TATOLI, in Colmera, Dili, on monday.
These 12 institutions included: Polytechnic Institute of Betano (IPB), João Saldanha Institute (JSI), Boaventura Institute of Timor-Leste (IBTL), East Timor Coffee Institute (ETCI), Philosophical Institute of St. Francis de Sales (IFFS), Catholic Teacher Training (ICFP), Institute of Religious Science (ICR), Institute of São João de Brito (ISB), Superior Cristal Institute (ISC), National Health Institute (ICS) and University of Dili (UNDIL).
“Here are the six universities that hadn’t submitted their reports of the payment of the Covid-19 relief funds for their college students – Institute of Business (IOB), Dili Institute of Technology (DIT), Canossa Professional Institute (IPDC), UNPAZ University (UNPAZ) and the National University of Timor Lorosa’e (UNTL),” Alves said.
Ministry of Finance (MoF) has already transferred the Covid-19 Relief Funds for Frist Semester Fees of College Students on July 14 and 15, to the bank accounts of all universities. And the payment was supposed to commence from july 16 to october 16.
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) allocated US$ 5.6 million for the Covid-19 Relief Funds, covering the first semester fees of 64.589 college students from 18 higher education institutions.
