DILI, 25 november 2021 (TATOLI) – The Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs (CMoEA), Joaquim Amaral, had said the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MAP) will soon send a container of Timor-Leste’s coffee to Dubai.
“Our most attractive product in Dubai is organic coffee. According to information from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, the ministry is ready to send, this week or next week, a container of organic coffee to Dubai,” said Amaral after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, at the Palace of Government on wednesday.
Amaral said visitors at the Expo Dubai are interested in organic coffee from Timor-Leste.
Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Pedro dos Reis, last month, said that the government of Timor-Leste is committed to promoting coffee and vanilla at the Expo Dubai.
Apart from coffee and vanilla, Timor-Leste also promoted other local products, including crafts, and traditional woven fabrics (tais).
Coffee costs over US$55.2, while the price of handicrafts is US$270.
