DILI, 6 december 2021 (TATOLI) – The National Parliament approved today, the 2022 General State Budget (GSB) for the Presidency of the Republic in the specialty.
In the discussion, the 2022 General State Budget for the Presidency of the Republic was approved with 42 votes in favor, one against, and 21 abstentions.
“Thus, the 2022 State Budget for the Presidency of the Republic was approved in the specialty”, the President of the National Parliament, Aniceto Guterres, announced at the plenary session at National Parliament, today.
The Presidency of the Republic has a budget of US$10.088.413 to finance five programs, 11 subprograms, and 25 activities.
Of the US$10.088.413 budget, US$1.295.828 is allocated for Wages and Salaries, US$3.991.297 for goods and services, US$774.500 for minor capital, US$250.000 for development capital, and US$350.000 for public transfers.
Next year, the President’s office plans to allocate US$ 648.243 for the national identity program, US$254.080 to the Rule of Law and Democracy program, US$ 1.100.552 for the sustainable development program, and US$6.661.626 for good governance and institutional management.
258 permanent staff members are working at the President’s office, of which 72 are women, with 25 chief departments.
