DILI, 04 february 2022 (TATOLI)- The Minister of Parliamentary Affair and Social Communications (MPASC), Francisco Jerónimo, discusses with World Bank Group Representative in Timor–Leste Bernard Harbone at the Government Palace in discussing the future cooperation.
Jerónimo informed that the important things to discuss were the use of Public Finance, Petroleum’s Fund, Human Resources related to the area of social communication and the National Parliament.
“We discussed the Public Finance, Petroleum ‘s Funds, human Resources and the World Bank in Timor – Leste is committed to work together with the government in the future,” Minister of MPASC, Jerónimo told Tatoli, today, in Palace Government, Dili.
The cooperation between the World Bank and the Government of Timor-Leste will be continued at the next meeting after the new President of the Republic of Timor-Leste is sworn in in the month of may.
“We hope that in the future the Government through MPASC can work together with the World Bank in the field of human resources, because the human resources in the National Parliament and MPASC still diminish, ” he said.
At the same place, Representative of World Bank Group, Bernard Harborne, said this meeting is to see the Vision and Mission of MPASC and also to see the annual plans in order that can work together in the future.
“The purpose of the meeting between the World Bank Group and MPASC is to discuss the finance of public finance expenditures, debate on public finances in the National Parliament and also discuss the petroleum’s funds,” Bernard said.
