DILI, 17 february 2022 (TATOLI) –The Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry (MTCI) has allocated around US$20,000 to carry out training for tailors, said the Coordinator of the Industry Program at Tais, António da Costa.
According to the official, the main objective of the training is to help tailors in the diversification of the Tais.
“The Government will, in june, promote training for 48 tailors to acquire new sewing techniques, namely in the manufacture of uniforms for administration employees, in particular those of the MTCI. The trainees will have the opportunity to learn how to take measurements, make molds and reproduce them on fabric”, he said.
The official explained that the training will have two phases, each one receiving 24 tailors for a month.
The MTCI plans, for this year, to advance with two programs, namely – Competition for young weavers in the production of Tais and training for tailors.
Finally, António da Costa added the need to create uniforms not only for State employees, but for all students.
