DILI, 23 february 2022 (TATOLI) – The elaboration of the Dili Urbanization Plan was approved by the Council of Ministers with the objective of improving the quality of urban space and promoting the development of functions and urban activities.
“The capital’s Urbanization Plan is an instrument that defines a set of rules that guide the use, occupation and transformation of urban land in Dili. On the other hand, it lists the various objectives, principles and strategies assumed by the Government itself”, said the Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fidélis Magalhães, after the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
According to the minister, the plan in question aims to improve the quality of the capital’s urban space, in addition to promoting the development of urban functions and activities.
The official also stressed that an advisory committee is created for this purpose, made up of directors-general of government departments, with emphasis on the occupation and use of the territory.
This department, according to the minister, will be responsible for monitoring the work of drawing up the urban plan, in addition to submitting a written opinion on the adequacy of the solutions proposed in the respective plan.
