DILI, 29 march 2022 (TATOLI) – The Secretary State for Vocational Training and Employment (SEFOPE), will send another 23 Timorese workers to work on the agriculture companies in Australia.
The Secretary State for Vocational Training and Employment, Alarico do Rosário, calls on all workers to obey the applicable law that, implemented in Australia, shows the discipline of work performance, and prevents them from running out of the SEFOPE ‘s database system.
“I appealed to all Timorese workers, to obey the all regulation and applicable law which is implemented in Australia. Show your performance of working, prioritize the discipline of work – work hard to win the trust of the company’s owner, therefore, Timorese workers can reliable in Australia and finally it will demand more Timorese workers to work in Australia in the upcoming future,’’ The Timorese’ executivo, Alarico do Rosário, told TATOLI at the Training Center of SEFOPE in Becora, Dili on this tuesday.
In addition, the Secretary State, Alarico do Rosário, requires the workers to learn new experiences and save money to open some business to sustain the economic growth in the families, and the country of Timor – Leste.
“Hopefully you will gain some experience and will save money to do some business when your work contract is finished. SEFOPE will be very cheerful when you look at your success in Timor–Leste,’’The Secretary State, Alarico do Rosário concluded.
On the other hand, General Director of SEFOPE, Paulo Alves calls on all workers in Australia, to maintain discipline at work, comply with all regulations and laws which are implemented in Australia, and do not think about escaping from the SEFOPE ‘s database system.
“Work with discipline, prevent the drunk while doing the work. I convey this, because some workers are drunk and get the accidents while driving a vehicle and SEFOPE request to all workers in Australia to collaborate with the owner of company, SEFOPE ‘s attaché and Timor-Leste‘s Embassy in Australia to overcome your problem when get some difficulties in Australia,” the General Director of SEFOPE Paulo Alves, said.
At the same Place, the National Director of Foreign Employment of SEFOPE Filomeno Soares, informs that, since 2011 to 2022 SEFOPE had selected 15,000 Timorese workers on the SEFOPE ‘s data base and already send more than 1000 Timorese worker to work in the garden of Australia during this time.
While the 23 Timorese workers will depart in two phases, the first phase will dispatch six workers on the 30th tomorrow and the others will depart on the 31st of april this thursday.
From the 23 Timorese workers, four of them are women and of the 23 Timorese workers will work in three different companies in Australia, namely Brookfield company, Freshwater Q. Management company and Costa Farm.
