DILI, 10 may 2022 (TATOLI) – The President of the Organizing Committee for the preparations for the inauguration ceremony of the new Timorese president, Miguel de Carvalho, accompanied by the Vice Minister of State Administration (MSA), Lino Torrezão, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MoFAC) Adaljiza Magno, met today with the Newly elected President, José Ramos Horta, to inform about the preparations for the ceremony.
“The inauguration ceremony of the new president is scheduled to be held on may 19 at 9:30 pm in Tasi Tolu”, said Miguel Carvalho at Farol, in Dili.
The official informed that the President of Portugal, Prime Minister of Guinea Bissau, Australian Government, New Zealand, and some ministers were confirmed to participate in the inauguration ceremony.
The Minister of State Administration (MSA), Miguel de Carvalho, added that the invitation will also be extended to the national leaders including government officials, veterans, religious leaders, civil society organizations, and the Newly President campaign team.
