UNFPA offers Midwifery Laboratory facility to UNTL

DILI,09 september 2022 ( TATOLI)-The United Nations Population Fund ( UNFPA) in Timor – Leste, offers the midwifery skill laboratory facility to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science of the National University of Timor – Loro’sae ( UNTL) to be used for practicing.

Interim Representative of UNFPA in Timor – Leste, Domingas Bernando, revealed that UNFPA offers midwifery skills laboratory facility to Medicine Faculty and Health Science, of UNTL to support them doing the practice.

” UNFPA in Timor- Leste, offers the midwifery skill laboratory facility to facilitate the students of midwifery in practicing, as one the base skills standard before doing their work on delivery the new bay born at the hospitals in across the Timor- Leste,” the Interim Representative of UNFPA, Domingas Bernando, told TATOLI at the Campus, UNTL, Kai- Koli, Dili on Friday.

Bernando, call on the midwifery lectures together with the students to use the skills laboratory facility with responsibility for their needs.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the UNTL, Joao Martins on behalf of all lecturers in UNTL thanked the UNFPA ‘s support, and commitment to taking care of the laboratory facility.

“We will use this laboratory facility with responsible and also will control and assist the students during the practice time,” he concluded.

The Midwifery Skill Laboratory is funded by UNFPA with a total budget of approximately US$ 50,000 to facilitate over 400 students.
