DILI, 14 october 2022 ( TATOLI)– The manager of the Tobercolusis program from Bairo-Pite Clinic, José Maia Soares, said since January 01 to October 14, 2022, Bairo- Pite Clinic has registered 426 cases of TB.
“TBC cases are increasing day by day and until today 426 TB cases have been registered in Bairo-Pite Clinic,” Soares, told TATOLI in his office on friday.
Soares added that, of the 426 cases, 26 patients have been hospitalized in the Instituto Secular Maun Alin Iha Cristo (ISMAIC) Tibar to receive intensive treatment, while the rest are receiving the treatment at Bairo Pite Clinic and taking medicine regularly.
“We advise TB victims to take medicine routine, otherwise it will cause fatality. This disease is very dangerous but, also easy to treat if the patient is taking the medicine regularly for 6 to 9 months routinely,” he said.
He informed that of the 426 suffering from TB, 4 people had died. and the 426 patients including a child 3 years old that is currently being treated at ISMAIC Tibar for intensive treatment.
The TB Program Manager at Bairo-Pite Clinic Soares promised to continue to work hard with his staff to provide treatment to TB patients and urge TB patients to collaborate with medical care for complete treatment.
