DILI, 14 october 2022 ( TATOLI) – Over 23 Universities in Indonesia will receive 180 to 200 Timorese scholarship students to study in Indonesia this year.
Education and Culture Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Timor-Leste, Ikfan Haris said at Education Fair event Organized by the Embassy of Indonesia in Timor-Leste today.
“This year over 23 Universities in Indonesia will receive around 180 to 200 Timorese scholarships to study in Indonesia, therefore today’s Education Fair is held by inviting the representatives of 23 universities in Indonesia to provide detail information regarding the universities’ requirements to Timor – Leste’s students before attending the test from universities,” said Hairs at the opening of the education fair event in Timor-Plaza today.
At the event, he hopes that the students from Timor-Leste will have interest to apply for the universities that are present at today’s event.
“Welcome the representatives of universities in Timor-Leste, hope that your presence will facilitate the complete information about your universities to students in Timor-Leste, and hope that students are interested to apply for the scholarships from universities,”
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Okto Dorinus Manik in his speech said, the celebration of the education fair coincides with the 20th anniversary of Indonesia’s bilateral relations with Timor-Leste, adding that this bilateral relationship offers many benefits to both countries, especially in the development of human resources through the programs at the Indonesian Cultural Center during this time.
“The development of human resources in Timor-Leste through the scholarship program continues to be increased Timor-Leste, we hope that with this Education Fair there will be many students who are interested to attend the test and will continue to study at the University that was previously chosen by the applicants,” said the Ambassador of the Indonesian Embassy, Okto Dorinus Manik.
At the same place, the Minister of Higher Education and Culture of Timor – Leste Longinhos dos Santos, greatly appreciated the Education Fair which is organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Timor – Leste and thanked the Indonesian Embassy through the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education Technology and Research and the representatives of the 23 universities.
“The Ministry of Higher Education and Culture would like to thank the Indonesian Embassy in Timor – Leste and the representatives from the 23 universities who have facilitated this Education Fair for 2 days in Timor – Leste. I hope this Education Fair will be useful for every student that will attend the test on the 16 october 2022 at Indonesian Cultural Center Mascarenhas Dili and contribute to building the national development process in Timor – Leste in the future, “he said.
So far the 23 universities including; University Brawijaya University, STIE YKPN Yokyakarta University, Kristen Satya Wacana University, Air Langga University, President University, MARS UNWIRA University, 17 Agustus 1945, Jakarta University, Asyijah Yokyakarta University, University of Islam International, Diam Nustara University, STP Trisakti University, Unika Wijaya Mandiri Kupang University, Telkom University,Atmajaya University, Negri Surabaya University, Nusa Cendana University, Padjajaran University, Hasanudin Makasar University, Wijaya Kusuma, Surabaya University, Pertahanan University, Hang Tua University, Negri Padang University and Institute Technology of Bandung.
