MSSI approaches Telkomcel to process payment for the BMJF program in two municipalities

DILI, 19 october 2022 (TATOLI)- Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusion (MSSI) approached the communication operator Telkomcel to process the payment for beneficiaries of the Bolsa Da Mãe Jerasaun Foun (BMJF) program in two municipalities.

Director General of MSSI, Florencio Pina Said MSSI is discussing with the Telkomcel operator of the TP agency to implement the payment process to the beneficiary for Bolsu Da Mãe Jerasaun Foun (BMJF) program in two municipalities in Ainaro and Bobonaro.

“We are dealing with the Telekomcel operator through the TP program to carry out the payment process to the beneficiary for Bolsu Da Mãe Jerasaun Foun (BMJF) in Ainaro and Bobonaro,” Director General of MSSI, Florencio Pina told TATOLI agency at Fomentu, this Tuesday.

He added that the ministry has conducted a meeting with Telkomcel to discuss the payment process through TP Agency saying that Telkoncel required a detailed discussion on the technical payment process related to the beneficiary’s data before implementing the payment for the Bolsa Da Mãe Jerasaun Foun (BMJF) program.

MSSI has introduced this issue to the Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak due adding that, this decision is made by the MSSi due to the BCTL cannot continue paying for two Municipalities Ainaro and Bobonaru.

In turn, PM also agreed to allow Telkomcel to carry out the payment process for Bolsa Da Mãe Jerasaun Foun (BMJF) program.

National Commerce Bank of Timor-Leste (BNCTL) will not continue to conduct the payment process, as a reason the Central Bank of Timor-Leste allows the payment process for Timorese women without the Identity Card (BI).

Previously, the National Director of Social Assistance (NDSA), Lucas Tois said So far, they have completed the payment process for 5.477 beneficiaries from Oecusse.

A total of 5.477 beneficiaries including 556 beneficiaries of pregnant women with an amount of subsidy worth 8. 340.00 USD, and 4.905 children with a total of $98.100 and also including 16 people with a disability of $ 160,00.

Based on MSSI data on August 2022 from three municipalities shows: the total beneficiaries for the BDMJF program are 13.98 pregnant women, with a total subsidy of $ 20,970,00, 11.223 children with a total fund worth $.224,46,00. 26 disabilities with a total fund of $.270,00.
