g+7 share Rwanda’s s  transformation through home-grown solutions for UNTL students

DILI, 28 october 2022 ( TATOLI) – the g7 + today held one of the workshops for the students of the National University of Timor – Leste ( UNTL) to share Rwanda’s transformation through the home- a grown solution.

Habib Ur Rehman Mayar, Deputy General Secretary, g7+ Secretariat &, Executive Director of g7+ Foundation, said the objective of this workshop is to share information on Rwanda’s national development progress to the students of UNTL to influence the students to develop Timor – Leste’s National development in the future.

“Twenty-five years ago on April 7, 1994, the genocide against Tutsi took the lives of 80,000 people in Rwanda. Even those with limited knowledge of the events that took place with surprised at the extent to which Rwanda has gone from a failed State” to one of Africa’s fastest-growing countries. Rwanda is a country that has opened its doors to all, where irrespective of citizenship visa upon arrival can be approved within just a few hours. With these experiences g7+ wishes to share Rwanda’s s transformation through the homegrown solution to the students of UNTL as one of the inspirations to develop Timor – Leste in the upcoming future,” Deputy g7+ Mayar told reporters in the Commission National Election’s s office Colmera, Dili on friday.

Mayer reveals this workshop is also conducted to share information about the finding progress that Timor-Leste’s s delegation that visited Rwanda to conduct a comparative study during 3 days in Rwanda to students of UNTL and another guest as one of the inspiration to develop Timor – Leste in the future.

At the same place, the second vice President of the National Parliament, Luis Roberto da Silva, said this workshop was organized by g7+ in Timor – Leste to share information about the progress that has been made by Rwanda after escaping the violent murderous conflict.

“We have visited Rwanda since October 3, 2022, for three days to conduct a comparative study in Rwanda. We are very impressed because Rwanda’s development has been the same as Europe and Singapore, even though Rwanda just became independent in 1994. Therefore, the findings that we found in Rwanda, can be shared with UNTL students to inspire them to build Timor-Leste in the future,” he said.

Roberto da Silva, reveals that Rwanda’s success was realized because it only prioritizes Education, Peace, and Reconciliation.

The history of Timor – Leste is almost similar to Rwanda therefore, Timor – Leste can take the references from Rwanda to build a better Timor – Leste in the future.

“I call on to UNTL students and other youths, let us unite to take the references from Rwanda and we must dare to have a good dialogue with historical leaders, the government, and other leaders to unite in building Timor-Leste,” he concluded.
