Over 30 Timorese eyes disable will study in Kupang Indonesia

DILI, 04 january 2023 ( TATOLI)– over 30 eyes disabled persons to study in Kupang Indonesia in april 2023.

The Coordinator of the Program of Education and Capacity Building of Timor-Leste Association of Visual Impairment ( AHDMTL), Julio da Costa Fernandes, said these 30 persons are set to study in Kupang through the cooperation between AHDMTL and the Indonesian Embassy in Timor- Leste.

“Indonesian Embassy in Timor – Leste agreed to send 30 eyes disabled to continue their course in Kupang Indonesia, they will be sent to Kupang by April 2023 and will study there to increase their knowledge,” said Julio da Costa Fernandes told Tatoli.

Fernandes explained that the 30 participants currently taking up the language course ‘Bahasa’ in Indonesia Embassy, adding that they attended the course since september 2022.

“Through the course, they were selected by the Embassy to attend the six-month to one-year courses in Kupang, about the brille letter, so that they can come back and teach their other friends,”

According to Fernandes, all the accommodation fees including the course fee will be the responsibility of the Embassy of Indonesia in Timor-Leste.

“Therefore with this opportunity, I thank Indonesia’s Embassy in Dili on behalf of AHDMTL, hope this cooperation will continue in the future,”
