DILI, 28 january 2023 ( TATOLI) – the Government of Timor – Leste through the Secretariat of State for Vocational Training and Employment ( SEFOPE) had invested $14 million in Korean Language Training Center in Becora, Dili.
The Director of the National Directorate of Employment Exterior ( DNEE) Filomeno Soares, revealed SEFOPE had invested $ 14 million from 2009 – 2023 in the Center of Korean Language Training Center aiming to facilitate the Korean Language Teachers in training centers.
“We have invested $14 million in the Korean Language Traning Center in Becora from 2009 to 2023. The $ 14 million is used to pay the Korean language teachers who provide training to Timorese to access jobs in South Korea during this time,” the Director of DNEE Filomeno Soares told TATOLI at Timor – Lodge Comoro, Dili
He added the investment which is done by SEFOPE had benefited over 5,138 Timorese workers working in South Korea and the workers have been sending $ 42 million every year to support the family’s economy and also support the stabilization of economic growth in Timor – Leste.
