g7+ and MoF launch a book name: ‘Fragile States in an Unequal World

DILI, 31 january 2023 ( TATOLI) – The g7 + and the Ministry of Finance ( MoF) today launched a book by author Isabel Rosa Sequiera, title: ‘Fragile States’ in an Unequal World’ that contains the role of g7 + in International Diplomacy and Development Cooperation.

Vice Minister of Finance, Antonio Freitas, said the launching of this book is very important to provide all the information about what has been done by g7 + and other Fragile States in the last 13 decades in the promotion of peace and stability in the world to prioritize the national development.

“This book talks about the record histories and also talks about the promotion of peace and stability to prioritize the national development of 20 state members in the world. Therefore this book will give the motivation to our decisions makers to make a good decision in promoting the peace and stability to develop the national development.” the Vice Minister of Finance told TATOLI when held the book launching of g7+ in the Ministry of Finance Aitarak – Laran, Dili on tuesday.

At the same place, the General Secretary of g7 +, Helder da Costa, said this book contains the histories of conflict-affected states. 

The Role of g7+ in International Diplomacy and Development Cooperation introduces the members of the g7+, a group formed by 20 conflict-affected States.

” The contents of this book is referred to conflict-affected States: why they came to believe in politics, and policy; how they feel about their work, their families, and their communities, and what they want to leave behind for the next generation. It’s the history of their personal and collective values, their mistakes, and the challenges they faced, and it will resonate with anyone who has tried to organize and work with a group of very different people,” he said.

Helder da Costa added that this book is important and contributes to those seeking to influence International policy, especially from a disadvantageous position.

” This book will help the international relation student and the other relevant institutions and Ministries to use this book as one the guidelines in conducting more research about the Role of the g7+ in International Diplomacy and Development Cooperation,” he concludes.
