DILI, 09 february 2023 (TATOLI)- The Minister of Education, Youth, and Sport (MoEYS) Armindo Maia, said school uniforms will reflect and represent the national cultural identity of Timor – Leste
The models of school uniforms which will be used by the students had been selected by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports and will reflect and represent the national cultural identity of Timor – Leste.
“We had defined requirements for school uniforms, including the need for the models to reflect symbolic elements of the national identity based on the colors of our flag and our cultural identity or color of Tais,’’ said Armindo Maia, to TATOLI in his office, Vila-Verde Dili.
The types of school uniforms which will be used by the students had been selected by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports and will reflect and represent the national cultural identity of Timor – Leste.
He added that the utilization of school uniforms will be announced soon through an orientation from the Ministry in a short time.
It recalled that the Director General for Education and Teaching, Luis Manuel Fernandes, requested all the school’s guardians to wait for the Government‘s instructions before buying the students’ uniforms.
Fernandes also informed that the municipal education services had given the warning to all schools and parents not to buy uniforms prepared by every public school in the new school year of 2023.
