DILI, 03 april 2023 ( TATOLI)- The School Technical of Vocational ( STV) Fatumaca and Maliana today presented the Sakura Science Program at the Embassy of Japan in Timor – Leste.
The Director of STV of Maliana, Bruder Marcal Lopes, said, a few months ago the Embassy of Japan invited the Technical School of Vocational of Fatumaca and Maliana through the Sakura Science Program to conduct the comparative study in Japan.
“We have been invited by the Government of Japan through its Embassy in Timor – Leste to attend the comparative study in Japan. Timor – Leste is represented by STV of Fatumaca and Maliana to visit the Vocational Technical School in Japan. With those opportunities, we visited their laboratory that creates robots, visited the field of vegetables and paddy through the smart agriculture program, and the other related modern technology in their school. We also learn about modern Innovation of technological from February 7 to 15 February 2023 in Japan, therefore today we are invited by the Embassy of Japan to share the knowledge we received in Japan with the Ambassador of Japan Tetsuya KIMURA today,” Bruder, Marcal told TATOLI in the Embassy of Japan, Pantai Kelapa, Dili.
Bruder Marcal Lopes added that Sakura Science Program is very crucial for the STV students in Timor – Leste because, from the comparative study, the students have the knowledge of the advanced technology that also can implement in Timor – Leste in the future.
“In Timor – Leste everything is manual, therefore we hope that the visit of the 10 students of STV to Japan will motivate the students and STV’s teacher how to implement modern technology in Timor – Leste in the future,” he said.
At the same place, the Ambassador of Japan to Timor – Leste, Tetsuya KIMURA thanked the STV of Fatumaca and Maliana who have visited Japan through the Sakura Science Program to study the new technology with the students in Japan, hopefully, this program can benefit the STV students in Timor – Leste.
“We send the STV students to attend the Sakura Science Program to learn the new modern technology in Japan as one of the experience how to implement to develop Timor – Leste in future,” he concluded.
