DILI, 11 april 2023 (TATOLI)– Students from the Institute of Business (IOB) collected approximately 300 USD for sales of artificial flowers Graduation during the graduation ceremony held today at the CCD Dili.
Maria Luiza Martim is a 22-year-old Timorese, She is currently studying business at the Institute of Business (IOB), Faculty of Business Economics, Science and Development.
Martins says the lesson she received from the university helped her run a business: “It helped me to generate the initiative to run a temporary business to collect some income,”
“Running this small business is my initiative. I want to practice doing small business by commercializing plastic flowers to collect income, “Maria Luiza Martins to TATOLI, at CCD.
She said the income she collects will be used to buy school needs, and transportation fees, and some will be spent to meet daily needs.
“This is the second time I have sold my staff. I raised over $250 selling plastic flower products to graduates, fist I sold it in my university, during the graduation ceremony” She said
According to Martins, She spent about $150 buying materials to produce the flowers and other graduates’ presents.
“Today we produce 400 flower products at different prices, consisting of $2 and $ 10 per flower,”
With these creative ideas and businesses, Martins encourages other Timorese students who have the ability and creativity to use their expertise to do business.
“don’t feel hesitate and uncomfortable doing business, because the small business will help answer to our needs,”
