The Embassy of Malaysia organizes  Malaysian Food Promotion and Tourism Networking in Timor – Leste

DILI, 05 july 2023 ( TATOLI)– The Malaysian Embassy held a Malaysia Food and Tourism Promotion Network in Timor – Leste.

The Food Promotion and Tourism Networking event was hosted by the Malaysian Ambassador to Timor – Leste, Amarjit Sarjit Singh, and the Plenipotentiary of Malaysia for Timor-Leste, on 5 July 2023 Timor Lodge Hotel & Residences.

This activity was organized to introduce Malaysian gastronomy to local travel agencies and some Timor Leste restaurants and enable them to provide Malaysian food in Timor Leste to attract Malaysian tourists to visit Timor Leste.

“We invite local travel agency owners and some local restaurants to introduce Malaysian food to them and enable them to provide available Malaysian food to promote tourism networks and attract Malaysian tourists to visit Timor-Leste to diversify Timor-Leste’s economy,” he said.

The event, which was jointly attended by 40 local travel agents and several restaurants, allowed the participants, especially local tourism operators, to exchange insights with the Malaysian Ambassador regarding tourism activities.

Ambassador Singh stressed that Timor – Leste has beautiful scenery and is a very attractive place for foreigners to visit Timor – Leste, therefore Malaysia wishes to introduce Malaysian food in Timor – Leste as one of the promotions on how to attract Malaysian tourists to Timor – Leste.

“The Embassy hopes to establish greater cooperation with all the agencies in the future,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the event was attended by Delicious Restaurant, Iana Travel, Luvi Travel, Huno Hoda Travel, Reveuse Travel, Diak Tours, Citilink, Sugar Travel, and other travel agencies in Timor – Leste.
