DILI, july 31, 2023 (TATOLI)- The Organization of Intergovernmental g7+ will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Secretariat of State for Social Communication (SECOMS) to work together to cover g7+ activities at global and national levels to the public in Timor – Leste.

Secretary General of g7+, Helder da Costa said today after meeting with the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Expedito Dias Ximenes today at the office of SECOMS.

“We have carried out many activities, therefore, we will continue to work together to cover information on g+7 because g7+ activities will be very dense at the global level starting from August, so g7+ and SECOMS have agreed to sign an MoU as soon as possible in collaboration with media in Timor Leste to cover information on g7+ activities to the public,” G7+ Secretary General Helder da Costa told reporters at the SECOMS office at the Dili Government Palace, Monday.

According to Helder, the activities that will be covered by the media include the Portuguese Speaking Countries Summit (CPLP) in Sao Tome Principe in August, g7+ joining the United Nations (UN) Summit to be held in September, g7+ participation in the annual meeting with World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Maroco in October and g7+ observer meetings in October in Liberia and Congo.

“Therefore this activity must involve the Timor Leste media to cover information to the public in Timor Leste,” he said.

In turn, Expidito Dias Ximenes appreciated the achievements that have been made by g7+ so far adding that the Government’s SECOMS will continue to work together with g7+ to strengthen g7+ activities even better future.

“SECOMS will work together with all private media and state media to cover g7+ activities to share information that will be carried out by g7+,” he concluded.
