DILI, 24 August 2023 (TATOLI) –Timor-Leste Football Federation (FFTL) appointed two coaches from Indonesia, Fandy Butar and M. Gilang to train selected players from the Timor-Leste National Team.
The two trainers will train selected players for two months.
“The two coaches will become the coaches for the Timorese football Team for two months to prepare the player for a qualifying match for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) which will be held in the near future,” said the Secretary General of the Timor-Leste Futsal Association (AFTL), Fernando Batista to TATOLI online, this Thursday.
These two coaches will work hard with the Timor-Leste football selection team to prepare themselves for the AFC competition which will take place in Manama, Bahrain from 07 to 11 October this year.
Following schedule, Timor-Leste was assigned to Group F with Kuwait, Bahrain, and Brunei Darussalam.
AFTL and FFTL hoped to get a significant change in the selection performance of the Timor-Leste National Team in the future with the support of the two trainers.
The two coaches Fandy Butar the main coach and M. Gilang who focuses on physical training and goalkeeper training.
The two coaches previously visited Timor-Leste and also coached for a pro league club in Indonesia, namely Sadakata United.
