DILI, 05 october 2023 (TATOLI) – The President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta has been awarded the prestigious Doña Maria de las Nieves of Parma Prize.
This honor recognizes his tireless efforts in advocating for peace and independence in Timor-Leste.
The Doña Maria de las Nieves of Parma Prize is named after Princess Marie des Neiges of Bourbon-Parma, a French aristocrat, ornithologist, and Carlist activist.
The prize celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities and the world at large, embodying the spirit of service and dedication that Princess Marie des Neiges exemplified.
President Horta’s leadership has been instrumental in Timor-Leste’s journey towards peace and independence.
