DILI, 17 january 2024 (TATOLI) – The Council of Ministers on wednesday, approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Timor-Leste and Indonesia and Malaysia in the fields of communication and informatics and transportation.
In accordance with the drafts presented by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Miguel Marques Gonçalves Manetelu, the Council of Ministers decided to approve:
The MoU between the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) of the Timor-Leste and the Ministry of Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia for Cooperation in the field of communications and informatics.
The extension of the term of the MoU between MoTC and the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia for cooperation in the field of education and training in the area of transportation.
The bilateral agreement between MoTC and the Ministry of Transport of the Government of Malaysia in the field of air transportation.
The improvement and expansion of the communications and information technology sector, as well as development in the transport and communications sector, require proactive and assertive collaboration with other countries in order to increase efficiency in internal and external action.
