Korean Embassy hands over electronic equipment to MoFAC

DILI, 05 july 2024 (TATOLI) – The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Dili handed over donated electronic equipment to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor-Leste.

The official handover ceremony of the equipment took place at the Noble Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and was witnessed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Dili, Shin Man-Taek, and the Director-General of Bilateral Affairs for Asia and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Marcos da Costa.  

During the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, symbolically, handed over to the Director-General of Bilateral Affairs for Asia and Oceania, items of electronic equipment.

Through the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Dili, the Government and the people of the Republic of Korea provided 170 desktop computers, 60 laptop computers, 60 printers, and 12 projectors.

In his remarks, the Director-General of Bilateral Affairs for Asia and Oceania, Marcos da Costa, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, expressed heartfelt thanks to the Government and the People of the Republic of Korea, through the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Dili, for their generosity, support and for their valuable contribution, which will undoubtedly improve access to information and facilitate the day-to-day functioning of the Ministry.

The Director-General further added that this electronic equipment represents more than just technology, it signifies a continued commitment to progress and innovation.
