Mozambican Parliamentary Assembly continues to strengthen cooperation with TL’s Parliament

DILI, 05 july 2024 (TATOLI) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MFAC), Bendito dos Santos Freitas, together with Timor-Leste’s Ambassador to Mozambique, Luís Miguel, and the team accompanying the Head of State, José Ramos-Horta, visited the National Assembly (PN), to address the political and economic issue between the two countries.

In the meeting, President Ramos-Horta updated the President of the National Assembly of Mozambique, Esperança Bias, and the deputies on the political, and economic situation and national stability that Timor-Leste has achieved during the past 20 years.

In this conversation, the Head of State, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Bendito Freitas and the delegation, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for all the support that Mozambique gave to Timor-Leste during the resistance and also continues to continue to strengthen diplomatic relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

On the other hand, the President of the National Assembly of Mozambique, Esperança Bias manifested, friendly relations and institutional cooperation between the National Parliament of Timor-Leste and the National Assembly of Mozambique especially in the organization of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), Inter-parliamentary Union and others.
